Memet KARAKUŞ received the B.A. degree in elementary education from Trakya University, Edirne, Turkey, in 1994, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in curriculum and instruction at the Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey, in 1997 and 2004, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Educational Sciences, Curriculum and Instruction Program at Çukurova University, where he teaches different courses related to the field of curriculum and instruction at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In 2013, he worked as a visiting scholar in Indiana University, School of Education, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Bloomington/USA. His research interests include curriculum development, interdisciplinary education and creative thinking skills in education. Assoc. Prof. Karakuş is a member of the Turkish Association of Curriculum and Instruction and Association for Social Studies Educators.
